HARTFORD, Conn. - The Trinity College Athletic Department established new annual fundraising records during the 2025-26 academic year, announced by Trinity College Director of Athletics Gavin Viano.

Combining gifts to the Athletic Director's Fund for Excellence and Athletics Equity Initiatives, along with "Friends of" each varsity athletic program, the Athletics Department raised $1.706 million, setting a new bar in amount raised as well as total donors with 2,713 people contributing. It was the sixth consecutive year the Athletics Department surpassed the $1 million mark in their fundraising efforts.

"The outpouring of generosity we received from our donors during the 2025-26 year was incredible, said Trinity Director of Athletics Gavin Viano. "Thank you to Bantam Nation for investing in our student-athletes and coaches, in their quest to make Trinity proud via athletic excellence. Your support and belief enabled Trinity to bring home two national titles, four NESCAC championships and to make NCAA tournament appearances in seven different sports."

TAG Week, which ran from February 23 through March 2, 2026, brought together alumni, parents, and supporters in a team-based fundraising competition designed to drive participation and generate critical support for Trinity's athletic programs. The football team raised the largest amount this year, marking the first time that a program has exceeded $300,000 in funds raised during TAG Week. The women's rowing team achieved the highest percentage of donors above its goal—at 286 percent—and became the first women's program to exceed $100,000 in TAG Week history.
