HARTFORD, Conn. - The Trinity College Athletic Department established a new annual fundraising record during the 2025-26 academic year, announced by Trinity College Director of Athletics Gavin Viano.

Combining gifts to the Athletic Director's Fund for Excellence and Athletics Equity Initiatives, along with "Friends of" each varsity athletic program, the Athletics Department raised $2.27 million, surpassing the previous record-high by nearly half a million dollars. It was the sixth consecutive year the Athletics Department surpassed the $1 million mark in their fundraising efforts.

"The outpouring of generosity we received from our donors during the 2025-26 year was incredible, said Trinity Director of Athletics Gavin Viano. "Thank you to Bantam Nation for investing in our student-athletes and coaches, in their quest to make Trinity proud via athletic excellence. Your support and belief enabled Trinity to bring home two national titles, four NESCAC championships and to make NCAA tournament appearances in seven different sports."

The fundraising endeavors reached its overall goal of $2 million with a total of $2,267478, a 26 percent increase from 2024-25. During the Trinity Athletics Giving (TAG) Week, the department saw alumni, parents, fans, friends, and former student-athletes deliver the most successful campaign in history, raising a record-breaking $2,056171.
