BEFORE TRINITY: Received an award in high school for self-sacrifice to his team (Alfred Elliott Memorial Trophy)...posted career-bests of 0:54 in the 400-meter dash and 2:06 in the 800-meter run in high school...also wrestled in high school.
PERSONAL: Head of School award recipient for self-sacrifice, community concern, leadership, integrity, fairness, kindliness, and respect for others, Frank D. Millet Scholarship recipient for moral integrity, and the H. Adams Carter prize for leadership and outdoor skills...son of Elevia Mateo. Brother to Florentino, Alexander, Samantha, Angel, Ellerman, and Eliabeth Ruiz Mateo. Is an outdoor Enthusiast.
WHY I CHOSE TRINITY: I chose Trinity because of its small student body and academics.
