Biography
AS A JUNIOR IN 2023-24: Added a 3-1 victory in the CSA Howe Cup Quarterfinals victory over Cornell University, and 3-1 victory against Yale in the semi-finals adding to the Bantams success as they entered the CSA Howe Cup Championship. Ashmawy’s games in the #9 spots of the ladder were cut short in the finals as the Bantams secured a 6-2 victory over Princeton to clinch the CSA Howe Cup Crown.Â
Ashmawy was defeated in the semifinals of the CSA Individual Championships finishing runner-up in the Holleran East Cup, 0-3. Ashmawy tallies a 22-2 season record, 52-4 career.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2022-23: Earned All NESCAC second team... helped the bantams beat UVA to get to the finals of the CSA national championships by beating Maureen Foley 3-2. Registered a 19-2 season record, 30-2 in her career.
AS A ROOKIE IN 2021-22: Tied for the team lead in winning percentage...won at the No. 9 on the ladder against top-ranked Harvard...went 3-0 at No. 7 on the ladder in the CSA National Team (Howe Cup) Championships. Finished her rookie season 11-0.
PERSONAL: Enjoys playing paddle tennis and doing yoga...would like to attend graduate school...daughter of Kareem and Rola El Ashmawy.
