AS A JUNIOR IN 2021-22: Tri-captain...returning starter.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2020-21: NESCAC All-Academic Team.

AS A ROOKIE IN 2019-20: CSA All-American First Team...All-NESCAC First Team...led the Bantams in wins and 3rd on team in winning percentage...went 2-1 in the CSA National Team (Potter Trophy) Championships...reached the semifinals of the Poll "A" Division Tournament in the CSA National Singles Championships...earned NESCAC Player of the Week honors for winning at the top of the lineup against top-ten opponents, Rochester, Columbia, and Penn.

BEFORE TRINITY: Finnish National Champion in 2019...won a Finnish National Team title in 2018...helped his club team finish second in the European Junior Championships.

PERSONAL: Earned Faculty Honors in the fall of 2019...Enjoys fishing...majoring in economics...son of Sakari Äijänen and Kati Porthan.

WHY I CHOSE TRINITY: I chose Trinity because it is one of the best squash colleges in America.
