As a Sophomore in 2024: Nelson appeared in 32 games, making 27 starts. She recorded 16 hits, 7 runs, 9 RBIs, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch 3 times. She also contributed 2 sacrifice hits and 4 sacrifice bunts, posting a career-high .288 slugging percentage and a .278 on-base percentage.

Defensively, Nelson nearly doubled her putouts from the previous season, finishing with 45 putouts, 1 assist, and 3 errors for a career-best .939 fielding percentage.

As a Rookie in 2023: Nelson appeared in 28 games with 24 starts. She tallied 15 hits, 10 runs, 6 RBIs, 4 walks, and was hit by a pitch 3 times. She also recorded 2 sacrifice hits and 8 sacrifice bunts, finishing with a .231 slugging percentage and a .324 on-base percentage.

In the field, she registered 24 putouts, 9 assists, and 10 errors, ending the season with a .767 fielding percentage.

Before Trinity: A three-year captain, two-time Coach’s Award recipient, and All-County honoree in high school... Batted .420 in high school... Also excelled in soccer.

Personal: Member of her high school’s Student Athletic Leadership Council... Served as a student mentor and school ambassador... Historian for the National Honor Society... Facilitator for her school’s Study Circles Conference, promoting discussions on racial and social issues... Active in her school's Class Planning Committee and Students Against Destructive Decisions club...Performed in an award-winning a cappella group.
