Trinity College

George Suitor enters his 30th season in 2021-22 as Trinity's men's and women's cross country head coach and as a men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field coach working with the distance and middle distance runners.  Suitor switched from his highly-successful head coaching role to assistant coach with the Bantam track and field squads in August of 2018.  He has coached 28 All-Americans in men’s and women’s track since 2000 and his squads consistently earn distinction by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as National Academic Teams.

Suitor came to Trinity in 1992 after a phenomenal tenure at the high school level. His scholastic teams (Manchester, Connecticut) won three state championships and three runner-up distinctions, and achieved more than 225 dual-meet victories.  Suitor, after a career as an educator in Manchester, devotes himself full time to his duties with Trinity's cross country and track and field squads.  He was inducted into the Connecticut State High School Hall of Fame in the fall of 2015.
