Kate Hickes joined Trinity women's rowing coaching staff for the 2019-20 season. Hickes came to the Bantams from Glastonbury High School where she had most recently served as head coach.
The Allentown, Pennsylvania, native brings Division I experience to Trinity, having coxed for four years at Bucknell University where she earned her bachelor's degree in International Relations in 2015. After guiding the varsity four to gold at the Patriot League Championships in her sophomore season, Hickes coxed the lightweight eight to bronze at the IRA National Championships as a junior, and led the varsity eight to silver in the Patriot League Championships in her final spring.
An all-conference honoree at Bucknell, Hickes started as an assistant coach at Glastonbury High School in 2016. After helping the squad take the 2018 Connecticut Public Schools State Championship, Hickes was elevated to head coach of the program. She has also spent time coaching at Central Connecticut Rowing in Middletown.
