Chris Simmons begins his sixth season as a Trinity football assistant coach in 2026. Simmons coaches the offensive line and is the recruiting coordinator for New England and the West Coast.
A four-year starter on the Bantam offensive line, Simmons was the 2014 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Rookie of the Year and a three-time All-NESCAC First Team honoree while helping Trinity to back-to-back conference titles in 2016 and 2017. Simmons became the program’s first two-time American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) All-American selection (2016, 2017) and played in the 2017 Dream Bowl Senior Game.
Simmons joined the Trinity football staff after coaching the offensive line at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for two seasons. Prior to RPI, Simmons coached the post-graduate team at Bridgton Academy in Maine. Simmons graduated from Trinity College in 2018 with a degree in sociology.
