Evelyn DeVaux

Evelyn DeVaux joined the Trinity College Athletic Department in January 2024 as part of the Athletic Communications staff. Serving as Assistant to Communications Director Chris Kendrick, DeVaux plays an integral role in the coverage and promotion of all 30 varsity sports at Trinity. Her responsibilities include assisting in managing the athletic website, compiling and reporting game statistics, writing press releases, and producing social media content. In Fall 2024, DeVaux took on the additional role of Social Media Director, overseeing strategy, graphic design, and day-to-day content creation across all Trinity Athletics social channels.

Before arriving in Hartford, DeVaux served as Sports Information Director at her alma mater, Elms College (Chicopee, Mass.), from August 2022 through late 2023. At Elms, she single-handedly led the communications efforts for 15 varsity teams, gaining valuable experience in media relations, statistics, photography, graphic design, and digital content management.

A 2021 graduate of Elms College DeVaux earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and Marketing with a minor in Coaching. During her time as a student, she was a four-year varsity field hockey player, serving as team captain during her senior season (2020-21), which was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and featured a non-competition fall semester and was President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). She also worked as a two-year Resident Advisor, interned with the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) as a Student Specialist in 2020, and was inducted into both Chi Alpha Sigma (National College Athlete Honor Society) and Sigma Beta Delta (International Honor Society for Business, Management, and Administration).

Following graduation, DeVaux began her career in athletics as the Freshman Girls Basketball Coach at Wethersfield High School (Conn.) for the 2021–22 season. She later joined Eastern Connecicut State University as the Game Day Management Coordinator in March 2022, before making the move to Elms, then finding her way to Trinity.
