Trinity College Athletics hired Kevin Crompton as its Assistant Director of Sports Communications in September of 2021. In this role, Crompton is responsible for working with coaches and staff to promote, support and communicate all accomplishments of Trinity's student-athletes and athletic programs. Crompton handles all creative content from graphic design to original video projects and runs the department's main Instagram account while also serving as a media contact for all 30 of Trinity's Division III varsity teams. Prior to Trinity, Crompton worked as an Athletic Communications Assistant at Division II Pace University where he also earned his Master’s degree in Media and Communication Arts. At Pace, Crompton handled all video operations inside the athletic department and served as the primary media contact for baseball, softball, women’s soccer and field hockey.
A Connecticut native, Crompton graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism while minoring in Business Administration. At Southern Connecticut, Crompton held the position of Editor-in-Chief of the student newspaper. He also interned as a multimedia journalist at Vantage Sports Network and was a contributing anchor on the live commercial-television network’s nightly sports-news show: CT Sports Now.
