Kevin Johnson

Kevin Johnson came to Trinity College in 2013 to direct the Quest Leadership Outdoor Orientation program. He also brought Outdoor Education to Trinity College's Recreation program. Johnson has worked for a number of outdoor education programs, managing, training and teaching leadership development, including Outward Bound. During the 2015-16 school year, Johnson was named the director of recreation for Trinity College, running all the other aspects of recreation including all club sports, the intramural sports program and group fitness classes.

After graduating from the University of New Hampshire with a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology in 2004, Johnson worked in Cooperstown, N.Y. as the assistant director of adventure for the Clark Sports Center. In 2006 while training staff to facilitate team building and extended wilderness trips he began teaching for the State University of New York, Oneonta’s campus in their Outdoor Education minor program.

Johnson holds certifications in emergency medicine as a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician, a Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician, a Connecticut EMT, and am American Red Cross Instructor. He also holds several certifications from the American Mountain Guide Association, amga.com, as a certified Rock Guide, Rock Instructor and Single Pitch Instructor.
