Hartford, Conn. - Sophomore Christy Bradley
(Wellesley, Mass.) scored twice and assisted on a third
goal to lead the Trinity College Bantams a 3-1 win against the
visiting Bates College Bobcats in New England Small College
Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women's soccer action this afternoon
on Robin L. Sheppard Field. Trinity, ranked No. 12 in the
nation, improves to 9-1 overall and 5-1 in the NESCAC, while the
Bobcats drop to 4-6 overall and 1-5 in the league with their first
loss in three games.
Bradley scored her first goal 53 seconds into the contest and
provided an assist on a goal by classmate Robyn Williams
(Bulawayo, Zimbabwe) late in the first half to give the
Bantams a 2-0 lead at the break. Bates junior midfielder
Morgan Maciewicz (Marblehead, Mass.) pulled the
visitors within one with a goal late in the second half, but
Bradley put the game away with an unassisted tally with 3:23
remaining on the clock. Trinity freshman goalie Gina
DiNallo (West Hartford, Conn.) made five saves and Bobcat
sophomore goalie Katie McEnroe (Manchester, Mass.)
had 14 stops.
