Trinity Women's Hoops Remains Perfect Through Eight Games With Win At Smith

Northampton, Mass. - Junior co-captain guard Claire Arnstein (Hicksville, N.Y.) led all scorers with 18 points and added five rebounds to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 74-61 win over the Smith College Pioneers in women's basketball action this evening.  Trinity closes the fall semester at 8-0, its best start since 1998-99, while Smith drops to 5-4.

Trinity shot 46.4 percent from the field and made 16 out of 19 shots from the foul line to run away from the Pioneers, after leading by two points at the break.  Freshman guard Michelle Royals (Torrington, Conn.) came off the bench to score 14 points, while junior Christine Card (Waterbury, Conn.) added 12 points, and freshman guard Kaitlin Ciarleglio (Waterbury, Conn.) had 11 points for the Bantams.
