Middlebury Edges Trinity In NESCAC Volleyball Opener

Clinton, N.Y. - Freshman S Jennifer Low (San Francisco, Calif.) totaled 41 assists and 20 digs, as the Trinity College Bantams dropped a 3-2 match against the Middlebury College Panthers in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) volleyball action this evening at Hamilton College.  Trinity drops to 4-4 overall and 0-1 in the league, while the Panthers improve to 3-2.

Trinity won the first game, 25-19, but lost the next game by then same score.  The Bantams won a decisive, 25-15, game to take a 2-1 lead, but the Panthers pulled out a 25-22 triumph in the fourth game and took the deciding match, 15-9.  Bantam junior OH Molly Ullman (Studio City, Calif.) recorded a team-high 16 kills, freshman L Sarah Blagden (Charleston, S.C.) notched 20 digs, and sophomore Kristen Anderson (West Haven, Conn.) contributed six aces.
