Trinity College broke open a close game with three unanswered
second half goals en route to a 5-1 victory over Keene State
College in non-conference field hockey action at Owl Athletic
Complex on Wednesday.
Keene State falls to 6-3 while Trinity (6-0), ranked #18 in this
week's NFHCA poll, remains undefeated.
Sophomore forward Robyn Williams (Bulawayo,
Zimbabwe) led Trinity with two goals and an assist.
The two teams traded early goals. Sophomore forward
Christina Bradley (Wellesley, Mass) put the
Bantams up 1-0 with an unassisted goal at the 13:20 mark. The Owls
tied the game 10 minutes later when freshman forward Jackie
Benson (Hampstead, N.H.) netted her third goal of the
season.
Junior forward Carrie Wolcott (Hamilton, Mass.)
gave Trinity a 2-1 halftime lead. Williams scored a pair of
goals, sandwiched around one from senior forward Karli Del
Rosie (Mantua, N.J) to account for the Bantam scoring in
the game.
KSC junior goalie Vikki Stoessel (Derry, N.H.)
finished the game with five saves. Trinity sophomore goalie
Payden Sra (Pewaukee, Wisc.) finished the game
with three saves.
