Hartford, Conn. - First-year Hillary Hoyt (New York,
N.Y.) did not allow a point in the No. 1 spot to lead the
Trinity College Bantams to a 7-2 win over the visiting Springfield
College Pride in women's tennis action this afternoon.
Trinity improves to 1-0 on the fall season while Springfield
falls to 1-6.
Trinity won two of three doubles matches and five singles
matches, holding their opponent to just 17 points in their seven
match wins. First-year Erin Woodbury (Yarmouth,
Maine) was a highlight for Springfield, winning in the
No. 4 spot.
Trinity returns to action in the New England Div. III
Championships at Amherst, Fri., Oct. 16 - Sun., Oct. 18.
