Trinity Men's Ice Hockey Scores Final Four Goals To Win Opener At Hamilton

Clinton, N.Y. - Junior forward Adam Houli (Howell, N.J.) had two goals and an assist to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 6-2 win over the Hamilton College Continentals in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) men's ice hockey season opener for both teams this evening at Clinton Arena.

Trailing, 2-1, midway through the first period, Trinity rattled off four unanswered goals the rest of the way beginning with the first career tally for freshman forward Jordan So (Toronto, Ontario) 9:57 into the game.  Just 16 seconds later, sophomore Sean McCarthy (Duxbury, Mass.) converted on helpers by classmate Michael DeMayo (Seaford, N.Y.) and junior Matt Quigley (Pittsburgh, Pa.) with the gamewinner, while junior Wesley Vesprini (Lexington, Mass.) held the Continentals scoreless for the final 41:21 of the game.

Sophomore forward Paul Jaskot (Methuen, Mass.) and freshman Zachary Lombardi (Locust Valley, N.Y.) also scored for Trinity, while freshman forward Stephen Rogers (Watertown, Mass.) notched three assists in his first collegiate game.  Vesprini finished with 27 saves.  Anthony Scarpino (Meadville, Pa.) and freshman Anthony Ruberto (Stoney Creek, Ontario) scored the Hamilton goals, and freshman Calvin Bartel (Drake, Saskatchewan) stopped 26 shots in the Continental goal.
