Hartford, Conn. – Junior goalkeeper Gina Dinallo (West
Hartford, Conn.) made seven saves to earn a shutout and
senior co-captain Christy Bradley
(Wellesley, Mass.) scored two goals to lead the No. 17
Trinity College Bantams to a 3-0 victory over the Williams College
Ephs in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC)
women's field hockey action on Robin Sheppard Field this
afternoon. Trinity improves to 4-4 overall and 3-2 in the
conference, while the Ephs drop to 2-5 and 1-4 in the league.
Midway through the first half, senior co-captain Robyn Williams
(Bulawayo, Zimbabwe) put Trinity on the board with her
first goal of the season. Bradley would follow that up at the
end of the first frame with two consecutive goals, assisted by
sophomore Hadley Duncan (Rye,
N.Y.) and Williams.
Williams junior Meera Sivalingam (Philadelphia,
Penn.) had some second half scoring opportunities but was
denied by Dinallo each time, en route to her first shutout of the
season. Senior tri-captain Katrina Tulla (New Canaan,
Conn.) made four saves for the Ephs.
Trinity travels to NESCAC rival Connecticut College for a noon
match on Sat., Oct. 9.
