Trinity Volleyball Shuts Out Wesleyan On The Road

Middletown, Conn. – Freshman OH Hannah Brickley (Melrose, Mass.) had nine kills, three aces, and 12 digs to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 3-0 victory over the Wesleyan University Cardinals in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) volleyball action this evening.  Trinity, ranked No. 10 in New England, improves to 10-4 overall and 2-3 in the NESCAC with its first win in three matches, while the Cardinals drop to 4-8 overall and 1-4 in the league with their fifth defeat in a row.  Trinity won a close first set, 25-23, before taking the second, 25-20, and the third, 25-13.  Senior tri-captain RS Kristen Anderson (West Haven, Conn.) paced he offense with 14 kills, while junior tri-captain L Sarah Blagden (Charleston, S.C.) anchored the defense with 26 digs a 22-for-22 performance receiving, and junior S Jennifer Low (San Francisco, Calif.) recorded 29 assists for the Bantams.
