Box Score Clinton, N.Y. - Freshman Claire Miller pounded 17 kills and added 30 digs to lead the Williams College Ephs to a five-set victory over the Trinity College Bantams in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) volleyball match at Hamilton College's Margaret Bundy Scott Field House this afternoon. Trinity drops to 9-3 overall and 3-1 in the NESCAC, while the Ephs are now 10-5 overall and 2-2 in the NESCAC. Williams won by scores of 21-25, 28-26, 20-25, 25-19, 15-12.
The Bantams were led by junior OH Danielle Isaman (West Hartford, Conn.) who smashed 23 kills to go along with 23 digs. Sophomore OH Hannah Brickley (Melrose, Mass.) recorded 17 kills, and senior Alexandra Pell (San Diego, Calif.) added 13 kills. Senior L Sarah Blagden (Charleston, S.C.) paced the defense with a match-high 45 digs. Sophomore Hannah Brickley (Melrose, Mass.) chipped in 23 digs and senior co-captain S Jennifer Low (San Francisco, Calif.) added 17 digs.
Miller committed only four errors and was also credited with 2 blocks. Emily Baratta chipped in 10 kills to go along with 14 digs, and Raea Rasmussen and Haley Eagon each smashed nine kills. Aly McKinnon paced the defense for the Ephs with a match-high 38 digs. Eagon and Rasmussen led the defense at the net, each recording a match-high seven blocks.
