Box Score Hartford, Conn. – Junior OH Danielle Isaman (West Hartford, Conn.) totaled 15 kills against just two errors and added nine digs to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 3-0 win over the visiting Worcester Polytechnic Institute Engineers in volleyball action this evening. Trinity, ranked No. 9 in New England, improves to 10-3, while the Engineers drop to 12-5 with their second loss in a row.
Trailing, 14-13, in the first set, Trinity scored eight of the next nine points to take a 21-15 lead en route to a 25-18 victory. The Bantams scored the last five points of the second set in a 25-17 win, and rattled off eight points in a row to turn a 17-16 deficit into a 23-17 lead before taking a 25-19 triumph in the third set.
Bantam senior co-captain S Jen Low (San Francisco, Calif.) notched 41 assists and added seven digs, while sophomore OH Hannah Brickley (Melrose, Mass.) had 13 kills and nine digs, and senior L Sarah Blagden (Charleston, S.C.) recorded a game-high 20 digs. Junior Kerrin Beovich (Seaford, N.Y.) paced WPI with six kills, while senior co-captain L Joan Porambo (Jim Thorpe, Pa.) totaled 14 digs.
