Box Score Bridgewater, Mass. - The Bridgewater State University Bears captured the P&H Travel Women's Basketball Tip-Off Tournament title as the hosts downed visiting Trinity College Bantams in the championship game, 86-57, this afternoon at the Tinsley Center. Trinity falls to 1-1 and the Bears are 2-0. Earlier in the day, Springfield College (1-1) posted an 82-43 victory over Thomas College (0-2) in the consolation game.
Tournament Most Valuable Player, junior guard Elisha Homich (Ludlow, Mass.) paced the Bears, as she scored a game-high 24 points on 7-fo-9 shooting and added seven rebounds, five assists and four steals. Junior forward Michaela Cosby (Walpole, Mass.) also earned all-tournament honors for BSU as she poured in 16 points to go along with six rebounds, three assists and four steals in the win over Trinity. Senior guards Kaitlin Ciarleglio (Waterbury, Conn.) and Michelle Royals (Torrington, Conn.) tallied ten points apiece to lead the Bantams. Ciarleglio, who added six rebounds, two assists and seven steals, was named to the all-tournament team.
