Hartford, Conn. – Senior Matthew Quigley
(Pittsburgh, Pa.) scored two goals and collected an assist
to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 6-2 win over the
Connecticut College Camels in New England Small College Athletic
Conference (NESCAC)/Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) East
men's ice hockey action this evening at Williams Rink in the
Koeppel Community Sports Center. Trinity improves to 7-8-3
overall and 4-7-1 in the NESCAC with its second consecutive
victory, while the Camels fall to 6-10-3 overall and 5-8-1 in the
NESCAC.
The Bantams jumped out to a 2-0 lead within the first 6:11 of
the game, but the Camels answered in the second with two immediate
goals. The game was tied at 2-2 for just 12 seconds in the
period, before sophomore Sabastion Kimmel (Chico,
Calif.) netted the eventual game-winner for the
Bantams. Trinity would add another in the second and two in
the third, including a goal with 39 seconds remaining in the
third.
Trinity senior goalie Wesley Vesprini (Lexington,
Mass.) made 16 saves in the win, while freshman goaltender
Marcus Calvanico (Flower Mound, Texas) made 31
saves for the Camels.
