Hartford, Conn. – The visiting Tufts University Jumbos downed the Trinity College Bantams, 9-, in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women's tennis action this afternoon at Assaiante Tennis Center. Trinity falls to 5-4 overall and 1-2 in the NESCAC, while Tufts, ranked No. 3 in the Northeast and No. 5 in the nation, improves to 9-2 overall and 3-0 in the league with its fifth victory in a row. Bantam junior Kelsey Semrod (Princeton, N.J.) took the No. 5 singles match to three sets, while rookies Regan Cherna (Bronxville, N.Y.) and Elizabeth Gerber (Bethesda, Md.) battled to an 8-6 setback at third doubles for Trinity.
