Hartford, Conn. – Amy Hart had 16 kills and a .600 hitting
percentage, 13 digs, and two blocks to lead the visiting Middlebury
College Panthers to a 3-0 victory over the Trinity College Bantams
in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC)
volleyball action this afternoon at Oosting Gymnasium.
Trinity drops to 9-7 overall and 3-5 in the NESCAC with its second
loss in two days, while Middlebury, ranked No. 6 in New England
improves to 14-4 overall and 14-5 overall and 6-2 in the
conference.
Middlebury won the first set handily, 25-11, and edged the
Bantams, 25-23, in the second set before taking the third,
25-19. First-year MH Kate Giddens (Ranchos Palos Verdes,
Calif.) had eight kills, while senior co-captain OH Danielle Isaman
(West Hartford, Conn.) recorded seven kills and 13 digs for the
Bantams. Megan Jarchow had 13 kills and Caitlin Barrett added
30 digs for the Panthers.
