Box Score Hartford, Conn. – Nine different players scored at least five points to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 69-40 win over the Lasell College Lasers in women's basketball action this evening on Ogrodnik Court in Oosting Gymnasium. Playing its home opener, Trinity improves to 3-1 on the young season, while the Lasers drop to 2-2 overall.
Junior Moriah Sweeney (Ramsey, N.J.) had a strong overall performance for Trinity, scoring eight points while picking up 12 rebounds, two blocks, two steals, and two assists. First-year Mackenzie Griffin (Stamford, Conn.) chipped in with seven points and nine rebounds to go along with a block in her first collegiate game on the Trinity hardwood.

Sophomore tri-captain Alexis Chapell (Springfield, Mass.) had a strong rebounding performance for Lasell, picking up 12 boards in the game, while adding seven points – all on free throws. Sophomore Danielle Autencio (Montville, Conn.) scored a game-high ten points and added four rebounds and a block for the Lasers.
Trinity will host Western Connecticut on Thu., Nov. 29 at 7:30 p.m. in a game will be webcast live at www.trincoll.edu/livevideo, before visiting Salem State on Sat., Dec. 1 at 1 p.m.
