Brunswick, Maine - The Bowdoin College Polar Bear women's volleyball team posted a 3-1 conference win over the visiting Trinity College Bantams this afternoon at Morrell Gymnasium. The No. 25-ranked Polar Bears improve to 7-0 overall and 2-0 in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) by taking set scores of 25-17, 25-15, 17-25, 25-18. The Bantams lose for the first time this year and drop to 5-1 overall and 1-1 in the league.

Trinity was paced by 14 kills and nine digs by senior co-captain OH Danielle Isaman (West Hartford, Conn.). First-year Katie Stueber (Darien, Conn.) pitched in nine kills and 14 digs for the Bantams, who also got 23 assists from junior S Amy Hackett (Wallingford, Conn.) and 17 assists from rookie S Gina Buzzelli (Cheshire, Conn.). First-year Christy Jewett led the way for Bowdoin, earning a team-best 15 kills. Ellie Brennan added 13 kills and three blocks while Melissa Haskell pitched in 11 kills and 11 digs for the hosts.
