Box Score Waterville, Maine - Senior tri-captain OH Hannah Brickley
(Melrose, Mass.) and sophomore RS Hunter Drews (Clifton Park, N.Y.)
both had 10 kills to power the visiting Trinity College Bantams to
a 3-0 win over the Colby College Mules in a battle between two
teams tied for sixth place in the New England Small College
Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Volleyball Standings before the
match. Trinity comes out in a tie for fifth place at 12-7
overall and 3-3 in the league. Colby drops to 6-9 overall and 2-4
in the conference. The Bantams won by set scores of 25-18,
25-23, 25-15.
Trinity sophomore MH Kate Giddens (Rancho Palos Verdes,
Calif.) added nine kills for Trinity on just 13 attacks and
had a team-high four aces. Sophomore MH Katie Stueber (Darien,
Conn.) and first-year OH Amanda Horan (Rumson, N.J.) both had four
blocks for the winners. Senior tri-captain S Amy Hackett
(Wallingford, Conn.) finished with 21 assists and 11
digs. Kim Donaldson led Colby in kills with seven, while
teammates Alexa Busser, Karolina Serhan, and Natalie Roy all had
six. Kate Pleasants finished with 25 assists and Anna Clifford had
17 digs.
