Box Score Middlebury, Vt. - The visiting Trinity College Bantams lost, 7-0, against the No. 2-ranked Middlebury College Panthers in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women's ice hockey action this afternoon at Kenyon Arena. Trinity falls to 1-2-1 overall and in the NESCAC with its second loss in two days to the Panthers, having suffered a 3-2 setback in overtime last night. Middlebury improved to 4-0.
Middlebury took a 1-0 lead when Mckenzie Martin put home a rebound in front at the 11:28 mark. Just 1:31 later, Katie Sullivan scored her third of the year, tipping in a shot from Jennifer Krakower. The Panthers added a third goal in the period with 2:03 remaining when Madeline Joyce scored on a rebound. Middlebury scored twice in each of the next two periods to account for a 7-0 final tally. Madeline Marsh made 14 saves in goal for Middlebury, while senior Alexa Pujol (New Canaan, Conn.) had 28 saves classmate Kristen Maxwell (Nashville, Tenn.) made six saves for the Bantams.
