Waterville, Maine - Trinity College junior tri-captain Kate Giddens (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.) had 19 kills in just three sets and added 18 defensive digs in a 3-0 victory over Colby College this afternoon at Wadsworth Gymnasium.  Trinity had a big weekend in Maine, defeating Bowdoin College on Friday night. The Bantams move to 11-4 overall and 3-2 in the NESCAC. Colby drops to 9-7 overall and 1-4 in conference play.  Trinity won by scores of 25-18, 25-19, 25-19.

Bantam junior tri-captain Hunter Drews (Clifton Park, N.Y.) finished with seven kills, while rookie Claudia Varner (Port Washington, N.Y.) and junior Katie Stueber (Darien, Conn.) both had six kills. Stueber and first-year Amanda Horan (Rumson, N.J.) both had three service aces. Grace Metry (Grosse Pointe Park, Mich.) had 20 digs for the winners. Junior Gina Buzzelli (Cheshire, Conn.) dished 22 assists and teammate Randi Whitham (South Weymouth, Mass.) added 18.  Kim Donaldson finished with 11 kills and two blocks for the Mules. Karolina Serhan added five kills and Sarah Arvidson led in digs with nine.
