Box Score Hartford, Conn. – Senior tri-captain OH Caroline Egan (New York, N.Y.) had 15 kills and eight digs to lead the visiting Williams College Ephs to a 3-0 victory over the Trinity College Bantams in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) volleyball regular-season finale for both teams this afternoon at Oosting Gymnasium. Trinity ends the year with an 8-14 overall record and a 1-9 mark in the league. Williams, ranked No. 6 in New England, improves to 16-9 overall and closes the NESCAC slate at 7-2.

Williams used late surges to win each of the first two sets, scoring the last four points of the first set to turn a 21-all tie into a 25-21 win and scoring five in a row to turn a 24-21 deficit into a 26-24 triumph in set two. Trinity scored the first five points of the second set and used a 6-0 run to go ahead, 24-21, before the Eph rally. Williams went on an 11-0 spurt to pull away from Trinity and open up a 21-8 advantage in the third set on its way to a 25-12 win.
Senior tri-captains Kate Giddens (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.) and Hunter Drews (Clifton Park, N.Y.) combined for 16 kills, while junior Shelby Deck (Newport Beach, Calif.) notched 12 assists and 13 digs for the Bantams.
