Box Score Middletown, Conn. - The Trinity College Women's volleyball team lost on Saturday afternoon in five sets to Coast Guard in Middletown, Connecticut, falling to 3-6 on the year while the Bears improve to 8-4. Coast Guard improves to 18-11 all time against Trinity, while the Bantams have lost two in a row.
Trinity was led by senior co-captain Hunter Drews (Clifton Park, N.Y.) who had 12 digs and 16 digs on the afternoon. Freshman Hanna Engstrom (Hopkinton, Mass.) and sophomore Anne Hay (New York, N.Y.) combined for 22 kills with 11 a piece, while Hay also tallied two aces. Shelby Deck (Newport Beach, Calif.) and Gina Buzzelli (Chesire, Conn.) both had 20 assists and sophomore Claudia Varner (Port Washington, N.Y.) recorded four aces and nine kills for the Bantams.
The Bantams return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 29, when they host Mitchell in Oosting Gymnasium. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
