Claremont, Calif. - Sophomore Vanja Babunski (Belgrade, Serbia) won, 6-4, 3-6, 10-5 in the No. 2 singles spot, but the Trinity College Bantams suffered a 8-1 setback against the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) rival Bowdoin College Polar Bears in women's tennis action this afternoon at Biszantz Family Center. Trinity falls to 2-2, while the No. 2-ranked Polar Bears improve to 4-0. Bowdoin led, 3-0, after doubles play and won five singles matches in straight sets, but Babunski outlasted Polar Bear senior captain Tiffany Cheng (Laguna Hills, Calif.) with the gutty, three-set win.
