Women's Tennis Loses at Babson, 7-2

Babson Park, Mass. - The Trinity College women's tennis team fell to Babson College, 7-2, on Thursday afternoon at the Babson Tennis Complex. The Bantams fall to the Beavers for the first time in ten matches, dating back to 2006. Trinity falls to 1-6 on the year and will look to rebound on Saturday against New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) foe Amherst at home.

Trinity picked up a point in doubles action thanks to a 9-8 (8-6) victory at the No. 3 spot by senior tri-captain Janie Weber (Winchester, Mass.) and sophomore Lilly Everett (Nassau, Bahamas). Babson won four-of-five singles matches in straight sets and added a point due to injury retirement at the No. 1 match. Trinity junior tri-captain Jillian Winer (Bolton, Mass.) was the lone Bantam to win a singles match, defeating her counterpart, 6-0, 6-4.
