Trinity Women's Tennis Beaten At Williams

Williamstown, Mass. - First-year Ashley Walker (New Canaan, Conn.) won, 6-4, 6-1, at sixth singles for her team's lone point, but the visiting Trinity College Bantams dropped an 8-1 decision against the Williams College Ephs in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) women's tennis action this afternoon.  Trinity falls to 1-6 overall and 0-3 in the NESCAC, while the No. 8-ranked Ephs improve to 4-5 overall and 1-2 in the league.  Bantam junior Elena Pellegrini (Leghorn, Italy) played a competitive match at the top of the singles ladder, taking the first set easily, 6-1, before losing to Williams' Leah Bush, 6-0, in the second and, 10-4, in the tiebreaker.
