Hartford, Conn - The Trinity College men's lacrosse team, led by Head Coach Jason Tarnow (5th season), has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2022 season. The Bantams will play 15 regular season games, including all 10 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) opponents and seven contests at home on Jessee/Miller Field at Tansill Muldoon Stadium. The Bantams were 3-3 during the pandemic-shortened 2021 season.
Trinity starts right off with NESCAC play with its season opener against Williams, which was ranked No. 10 nationally last spring, on March 5. The Bantams play two road games over the next week, at Salve Regina on March 9 and league foe Bates on March 12. Trinity welcomes Roger Williams on March 16 before entertaining conference rival Middlebury, which did not compete last spring, on March 19. Trinity play at Endicott on March 23, before hosting last spring top-ranked squad, NESCAC rival Tufts, three days later. Trinity closes out March at Coast Guard on the 30th.
After an April 2 contest at New York Maritime, Trinity's six remaining games will be conference tilts, beginning with road matchups at Connecticut College on the 6th and Bowdoin on the 9th. The Bantams host Wesleyan, ranked No. 20 in the country at the end of last year, on April 13 and Hamilton comes to Hartford for Trinity's final home game on the 16th. Trinity visits Colby on April 20 and has its regular-season finale at Amherst on April 23. Amherst and Bowdoin did not compete in 2021. Post-season beginning on April 30 for those who qualify.
