Trinity Men’s Soccer Grabs First Win of Season at Emerson College

Hartford, Conn. – Sophomore Michael Traynor (Rye, N.Y.) scored 35 minutes into action on an assist from junior Alexander Guglielmo (New Rochelle, N.Y.) and that's all it took for the Trinity College Bantams to secure a 1-0 victory at Emerson College on Sunday afternoon. The Bantams pick up their first win of the 2021 season in shutout fashion, improving to 1-2 while Emerson falls to 0-2-1. Traynor and company will have the week off before hosting Colby College on Saturday for Trinity's first NESCAC matchup of the year at 11 a.m.  Sophomore goalkeeper Bernardo Simoes registered two saves and picked up his first shutout win of his career while Guglielmo tallied his first assist as a Bantam. Trinity put nine shots on goal over 17 total attempts.
