Danbury, Conn. – The visiting Trinity College volleyball team lost in three sets to Western Connecticut State University Wednesday night in Danbury, Conn. (25-19, 25-18, 25-22). The Bantams slide to 2-3 on the year while Western Connecticut improves to 5-4. Trinity will have a day of rest before hosting Williams College Friday at 8:00 p.m. for its first conference matchup.
The Bantams held a 22-19 lead in the third set but WestConn rallied behind senior Ali Brochu
and junior Rory McMaster who posted 11 kills and 29 assists, respectively.
Sophomore
Lola Craig led the Bantams with 10 points and nine kills on 29 total attacks. She also chipped in an ace on the evening. The Los Angeles, Calif. Native has tallied 20 or more attacks in four out of Trinity's five games this season. Meanwhile, senior captain
Locke Luhnow racked up 13 assists and an ace of her own. She leads Trinity with 92 total assists through five matches.
