Trinity Basketball Teams Host Pride Games This Weekend

HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College men's and women's basketball teams are hosting a "Pride Weekend" on December 9 and 10 for their final home games at Oosting Gymnasium before the end of classes.  The Bantam men will host CCNY in a Pride Game on Friday at 6 p.m. and Trinity women's basketball welcomes Worcester State on Saturday at 1 p.m. in their Pride Game at the Koeppel Community Sports Center. Both Trinity basketball teams are off to fantastic starts, combining for a 16-1 record between them entering the weekend.

The Trinity College men's and women's basketball teams are proud to host their Pride Weekend as we celebrate inclusion, belonging, and love. We encourage you to support the Trevor Project, which is the world's largest suicide prevention and mental health organization for LGBTQ young people, through their website or using the QR code found posted throughout Oosting Gymnasium. On Friday, there will be informational brochures that can help answer questions you may have about the Trevor Project or resources on campus for the LGBTQ community on a table right outside the gym.  We encourage you to check out the Queer Resource Center on campus for more information. On Saturday, our partners at the Queer Resource Center are hosting a table right outside the gym. They are also giving out some free Trinity Pride swag, so make sure you stop by and check it out!

For those who wish to donate, the Trinity College basketball teams recommends donating to The Trevor Project which is "the world's largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning) young people."
