HARTFORD, Conn. - Junior tri-captain Kevin Lyskawa (Londonderry, N.H.) and first-year Chris Perry (Lake Mohegan, N.Y.) each won twice, as the Trinity College Bantams defeated the Hunter College Hawks, 48-12, and lost to the New York University Violets, 34-12, in a home tri-match this afternoon at Trinity Field House.  Trinity closes up its dual-match season at 12-9, its most wins since 2004, for its first record of over .500 since 2011.  The Bantams will send some individuals to the New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) Futures Tournament tomorrow in Rhode Island, while the rest of the roster will get ready for the NCAA Division III Northeast Regional Championships next weekend at Springfield College.

Against NYU, Trinity senior tri-captain John O'Brien (Reading, Mass.) came through with a 3-2 victory over NYU's Will Ortman in the heavyweight bout in his final career dual match. Perry won his match at 141 pounds, 8-0, and Lyskawa won by technical fall, 15-0, at 165 pounds.  Trinity junior Anders Klass (Braintree, Mass.) was edged, 6-5, by NYU's Scott Dupont in the 197-pound match.  After NYU blanked Hunter, 53-0, in the middle dual, the Bantams came out on top as well versus the Hawks.  Perry Lyskawa, Jacob Marselli (Tolland, Conn.), Aidan Hebert (Bethany, Conn.), and Nicholas Crotty (Framingham, Mass.) each pinned his opponent to account for 30 of Trinity's 48 points.
