MEDFORD, Mass. – On a sunny but cold day with a blistering wind, the Trinity College men's track and field team placed fourth in the Snowflake Classic on Saturday at Tufts University. The Bantams scored 60 points in its season opener, placing behind MIT, Tufts and Wesleyan University. Trinity's next meet takes place next Saturday in New London, Conn. at the Coast Guard Invitational at 10 a.m.

DeVante Reid (London, England) beat the field handily to start the season, clocking a 42.97 second time 1.09 seconds ahead of runner up Wesleyan. Senior
Travis Martin (New Haven, Conn.) who comes off All-American honors during the indoor season, took home first place finishes in both the 1500 meter (3.57.45) and 800 meter run (1.56.20) in a strong double with teammate
Tim Lautenbach (Weston, Conn.) close behind. Lautenbach finished ninth in the 800 and fourth in the 1500 with a 4.03.59 mark.
First-year
Nolan McKenna (Boston, Mass.) had a strong outdoor college debut in the 400 (50.85) as well as the 200 meter dash (22.71) while indoor All-American
Ethan Wilkie (Ellington, Conn.) recorded a new personal record in the Hammer Throw (43.39 meters) and also scored in the Shot Put. Additionally, senior captain
Kinnard Hughes (Chicago, Ill.) who recently made an indoor trip to the national stage, placed second in triple jump with a leap of 13.44 meters.
