WORCESTER, Mass. - The Trinity College varsity eight finished third in the petit final and its second-varsity eight was sixth in the petit final, as the Bantams competed in the New England Rowing Championship (NERC) Regatta this afternoon on Lake Quinsigamond. Trinity's second-varsity eight placed fourth in its heat with a time of 7:37.857 and its varsity eight was third in its heat with a time of 6:50.927. Trinity's third-varsity eight was fourth in its heat and lost to Vermont in a two-boat petit final. Trinity totaled a score of 31.56 in the Overall Points Trophy Standings to place 12th, while Bates was first among a field of 25 schools. In the Men's and Women's Combined Overall Points Trophy Standings, Trinity was eighth with 77.79 points. The Bantams will be back in Worcester for the National Invitational Rowing Championship (NIRC) Regatta on Sunday, May 8.
