WATERVILLE, Maine – The Trinity College baseball team fell to Colby College for the third-straight game this weekend with a final score of 14-7 in its final conference game of the regular season. The Bantams drop to 14-17 overall with a 6-6 mark in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) while Colby improves to 20-11 and 8-4 in the conference. Trinity sits at third place in the East Division and closes out the season Tuesday at 6 p.m. against Union College while the Mules are in second place in the East with today marking its final regular season contest.
Colby scored nine runs in the first inning before adding one in the sixth and four more in the eighth. Matt Panker went 3-for-5 for the Mules with one run and one RBI while Brady O'Brein and Drew Miller each hit homeruns and Nastri recorded four RBIs on the day including triple that scored three runs. Julian Erro earned the win on the mound for Colby allowing four runs and striking out three batters to improve to 2-1 this season. Senior captain
Thomas Fahey recorded four strikeouts of his own for the Bantams over just two and a third innings and Crowley allowed just one run over four innings as a reliever. Sophomore
