CLINTON, N.Y. – The No. 2-seeded Trinity College baseball team was eliminated from the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Tournament on Sunday, falling to No. 3 Hamilton College, 4-0 at the Loop Road Athletic Complex in the NESCAC Quarterfinals. The Bantams conclude their 2022 season with a 15-20 overall record while Hamilton improves to 18-15 overall and advances to Championship Weekend hosted by Trinity College, May 13-16.
The Continentals shutout the Bantams for the second time this weekend as Jackson Sattinger pitched seven scoreless innings and allowed just one hit. Jack Eshleman closed in the game's final two innings to secure the one-hit shutout and help push his team to the next round of the conference tourney. Hamilton scored two runs in the second inning and Shane Dux drove in an RBI in both the third and fifth innings to extend the lead to four runs. Dux finished the day 3-for-3 with two RBIs and one run scored. Sophomore
James Stefanowicz (Stamford, Conn.) recorded the lone hit for the Bantams on a single to right field in the top of the second inning.
