HARTFORD, Conn. - Sophomore
Isabelle Tagliaferro (Bedford, N.H.) and first-year
Niamh Kastner (Williamsburg, Va.) each won two individual events and two relays to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a pair of wins over the visiting Mount Holyoke College Lyons (197-95) and Vassar College Brewers (149-143) in women's swimming and diving action this afternoon at Trinity Natatorium. The Bantams improve to 3-2, while Vassar, which won its decision over the Lyons, 216-71, falls to 5-2 and Mount Holyoke drops to 2-4. Trinity will head to Clark for a tri-meet with the Cougars and the crosstown rival University of St, Joseph Blue Jays on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Tagliaferro and Kastner teamed with juniors
Marissa Lopez-Ona (Philadelphia, Pa.) and
Morgan Lenoce (Westport, Conn.) to win the meet-opening 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:51.04. Taglieferro also won the 50- and 100-yard freestyle races, Kastner touched first in the 100- and 200-yard butterfly and Lopez-Ona added winning times in both the 100-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard IM.

Rachel Papalski (Flemington, N.J.) and sophomore
Addison Dunham (Concord, Mass.) finished 1-2 in the 200-yard freestyle and later clinched the close decision with a first-place time of 3:42.59 with Kastner and Tagliaferro in the 400-yard free relay to close out the meet. In diving, rookie
Cassandra Cronin (North Easton, Mass.) was second in the one-meter event and sophomore
Bridget Kahan (Lewiston, Maine) placed third off the three-meter board.
