Gerard Maretta (Brick, N.J.) had a hat trick plus an assist to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 6-0 win over the Tufts University Jumbos in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) men's ice hockey action this evening. Trinity improves to 10-5 overall and 7-2 in the NESCAC with its fifth victory in a row, while Tufts drops to 5-9-1 overall and 2-6-1 in the league. Devon Bobak (Northwood, Ohio) made 21 saves to improve to 7-2 with his first career shutout.

Spencer Korona (Enfield, Conn.) with 5:05 left in the first period, and Trinity sophomore defenseman Eaman Doheny (Lunenberg, Mass.) added another goal moments later. Maretta scored midway through the second period and Korona and Maretta fed junior forward
Kyle Tomaso (Newport, R.I.) for the second tally of the middle frame on a power play with 5:30 on the clock. Maretta scored twice more in the third period. Korona finished with three assists, Tomaso had a goal and an assist, and junior defenseman
Ned Blanchard (West Hartford, Conn.) added two helpers. Two goalies combined for 19 Jumbo saves.
