NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Trinity College Women's Swimming & Diving team captured a 193-95 win over Roger Williams, and fell to host Connecticut College, 179-115, in a dual meet at the Conn College Natatorium Saturday afternoon.
Highlights:
· The 200-medley relay team of sophomore Rachel Kim, first year Charlotte Murphree, sophomore Niamh Kastner and junior Isabelle Tagliaferro place second overall, first against RWU with a time of 1:50.60.
· Junior Julianna Rieker came in second in the 1000 free against Roger Williams with a time of 11:24.53.
· First year Rachel Lundy was 3rd overall in the 200 free and first against Roger Williams at 2:01.30, while senior Morgan Lenoce was 5th overall and 2nd to RWU in the event with a time of 2:02.50.
· Kim finished fourth overall in the 100 back and first against RWU at 1:01.46, and fourth overall in the 200 back at 2:15.67.
· Senior Katherine Dustin was 5th overall in the 100 back and second against RWU with a time of 1:04.57.
· Murphree placed 1st overall in the 100 breast (1:08.26), and the 200 breast (2.27.77).
· First year Alexandra Snyder was 3rd against RWU in the 100 breast at 1:04.37.
· Kastner claimed a trio of victories in the 200 fly (2:10.72), 100 fly (59.61), and 200 IM overall (2:13.99).
· Maria Figueroa was 4th overall in the 200 fly and the 100 fly with times of 2:19.54 and 1:03.46, respectively.
· Tagliaferro was 3rd overall in the 50 free and 1st against Roger Williams with a time of 25.47, along with fourth overall in the 100 free at 55.49.
· First year Kayla Tatarian won 1M dive with a score of 202.95, and placed second on 3M dive at 181.80, setting new personal records.
· Sophomore Cass Cronin won 3M dive with a score of 182.03 and finished third on 1M dive at 171.75, registering new personal records.
· Junior Addison Dunham was 3rd against Roger Williams in the 100 free at 57.68.
· First year Hannah Flis got 3rd against RWU in the 200 back with a time of 2:16.04.
· Sara Matson got second against RWU in the 500 free at 5:43.62.
· The 400 free relay team of Lenoce, Flis, Lundy and Tagliaferro finished second overall and first against RWU with a time of 3:43.81.
The Bantams will return to the pool when they travel to Mount Holyoke for a road meet on January 11th at 2:00 p.m.
