ORLANDO, Fla. — Four Bantams went undefeated for the Trinity College women's tennis team in a 7-2 victory over the University of Wisconson-Eau Claire as Isabella Hartman (New York, N.Y.), Angelina Shyltsyna (Odessa, Ukraine), Ella Baker (Gladstone, N.J.) and Allie Francis (Westport, Conn.) went 2-0 on the day at the USTA National Campus on Monday. Trinity improved to 2-3 overall, while the Blugolds fell to 8-5. The team continues it's Florida spring break trip with a match against Hope College on Tuesday at 11 a.m.

A trio of doubles wins quickly put the Navy & Gold up over Wisconsin Claire as Shyltsyna and Baker nabbed the first match point at No. 2 doubles with an 8-6 win. Shyltsyna defeated Anna Lee in a tough tie-breaking after taking the first set 6-4. The junior narrowly fell 7-5 in the second but rallied back for strong win for the match point, 10-5, at No. 3 singles. Hartman, Baker and Francis dominated at No. 1, 4 and 5 singles in a pair of sets to add three points for the Bantams. Madison Bolig (Charleston, S.C.) played a tough matchup against Sydney Presler with a first set win, 6-4, but fell in the second, 6-1, to force the tie-breaker. The first-year put up a fight but fell 10-7 in the third set.
