HARTFORD, Conn. — The Trinity College women's tennis team dropped 9-0 match against New England Small College Athletic Conference opponent Amherst College at the Assaiante Tennis Center on Tuesday. Trinity moved to 6-6 overall and 1-5 in the league, while the Mammoths improved to 9-1 and 7-0. The Bantams travels to Tufts University on April 15 for a 2 p.m. match.
After doubles, the Navy & Gold were down 3-0, but a close tiebreaker at No. 2 singles by Angelina Shyltsyna (Odessa, Ukraine)Â had the potential to put the team on the board in 6-2, 7-6 (2) loss.
