Trinity Women's Soccer Assistant Sarah Brink Named Head Coach At Denison

HARTFORD, Conn. – Trinity College Assistant Women's Soccer Coach Sarah Brink has been hired as the new head women's soccer at Dennison University. Brink served as Trinity's assistant coach for four years.  Last fall, Brink helped take the Bantams to the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Championship Semifinals and the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time since 2016. Trinity went from eighth place in the NESCAC in 2021 to finishing in third place to go along with at No. 22 national ranking in 2022. Brink also coached the 2022 NESCAC Rookie of the Year in forward Elena Lindonen.  Brink was selected into the United Soccer Coaches "30 Under 30 Program", a year-long education and mentorship opportunity for a select group of coaches who have made coaching their career of choice.

The Bantams, coached by Rachael Schroeder (4th Season), finished the 2022 campaign with a 7-5-7 record and finished tied with Bowdoin and Middlebury for third place in the NESCAC with a 4-2-4 mark against conference teams.  Trinity qualified for the NESCAC Championship Tournament for the 14th consecutive season, winning, 2-1, at Middlebury in the quarterfinals before falling, 3-0, against Wesleyan in the semifinals.  Trinity qualified for the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament for the third time and advanced past Geneseo State on penalty kicks (1-1), but lost, 4-0, to Johns Hopkins in the second round.
